✅ Transparency statement
Yes, we are Radical Service — one of the services you can find in these results. That is exactly why we do not point fingers at anyone or tell you who to avoid. We show you what types of service exist, how to recognize them, and we give you the tools to check for yourself and decide. Where it is our opinion, we say so clearly.
In short: how to choose in 30 seconds
You are under warranty or have AppleCare+
→ Go to Apple (official). 100%, so you do not lose the warranty.
You want strictly an authorized Apple channel
→ Apple or an authorized partner (e.g. iTrade, which acquired Noumax).
You are out of warranty and want a fair price
→ An independent service with a REAL, Apple-dedicated track record. Check the seniority (Trade Register), the reviews and the transparency — not just the text on the site.
You want to avoid the traps
→ Beware of keyword-domains with no clear company behind them, and of „claimed” seniority ≠ real seniority. You can check in 2 minutes on listafirme.ro and the Wayback Machine.
What you actually find in the results
Beyond the official channel, the results for „service macbook” keep surfacing the same few kinds of player. We name some, because it is clear and fair. For the rest, the type matters, not the name — so you learn to spot appearances, not to avoid one specific company.
Apple — the official channel
The natural first stop. This is where you must go 100% if you are under warranty or have AppleCare+ — any other route can void your warranty. Apple works through its own channels and through authorized partners.

The online community (Reddit)
Forums like Reddit rank high in Google, and real recommendations there carry more weight than any ad. On the thread about MacBook repair in Bucharest, most users recommend us — thank you, and we promise to keep working just as hard. (There is also an anonymous account recommending another service; we take it as such and let you draw your own conclusions.)
A historic name: Noumax
Here, real credit is due to someone who genuinely mattered. Noumax, founded by Tudor Ciortea in 1994, is one of the pioneers of Apple in Romania — a name that helped bring the Apple ecosystem to the Romanian market when almost no one else did. Over 30 years of history, hundreds of clients across banking, education, television and advertising, and years spent as an authorized Apple service. This is not „just another name”; it is part of Apple’s history here.
Romanian press from the ’90s was not fully digitized, which is why articles from the company’s earliest days are not available online. Still, the oldest archived news available online comes from Ziarul Financiar and dates from early 2008: back then Apple was managed locally through its official importer IRIS, and the article cites Noumax as a reference example of Apple Premium Reseller stores.
What followed is known: in 2019 it lost its authorized Apple service status, and in 2023 it was acquired by iTrade, an authorized Apple reseller. In practice, this route takes you back into a channel connected to the authorized Apple world — good news for a device under warranty.
The marketplaces (OLX)
They show up because of high domain authority, but OLX is a classifieds platform, not a service. You may find good technicians there — or anyone at all. With no company, address or verifiable track record behind them, it is a gamble. There is nothing to „choose” here; treat every listing exactly like a stranger.
And the types that call for caution
The rest of the results usually fall into a few patterns. We name no one — what matters is recognizing the pattern, so you ask the right questions before you drop off your laptop.
„Borrowed” seniority. Sites presenting themselves as MacBook-dedicated services with over 15 years of experience — yet a year ago they were on the market with „10 years of experience” in multi-brand laptop repair, and in reality they have existed for 5-6 years. The seniority shown on a site is verified by no one; the founding year in public records tells the truth. Check it yourself.
The generalist dressed as a specialist. Sites with „Apple” in the name or presentation that are, behind the scenes, general electronics shops — sometimes even in another city. Not necessarily bad, but not what they seem. „Apple” in a domain does not mean Apple specialization — often it is just a little trick to make the site rank higher in Google.
The genuine multi-brand shop. There are also serious services, some with real seniority, that repair everything — laptops, phones, consoles. They can most likely solve your MacBook problem successfully too; they just usually lack the depth of experience of a service dedicated exclusively to Apple. Honest and transparent, but generalists.
None of these patterns is, in itself, an accusation. They are simply signals worth checking. How? Right below.
How to check ANY service yourself, in minutes
Do not take our word for it — or anyone’s. All the tools below are free and public.
Trade Register / listafirme.ro
Search the company by name or tax ID. See the founding year, employee count, turnover and activity code. „15 years of experience” on the site, but the company is from 2021? Clear signal.
Wayback Machine (web.archive.org)
Enter the domain and see how long the site has existed and how it looked in the past. Often the seniority „claimed” today does not match the real site history.
Google reviews older than 1 year
Read the old ones, not just the recent ones. A „MacBook-dedicated” shop that until recently mentioned all sorts of brands has re-positioned lately.
Company name = domain name?
Domains built on the search term itself (of the form „service-[product]”) say nothing about who is behind them. Look for the real company name and tax ID on the site.
Apple authorization
If you want an authorized channel, check Apple’s list of authorized providers. Nobody „becomes” authorized just because „Apple” is in the domain.
Visible company details
Company name, tax ID, address and Trade Register number are mandatory on any commercial website (Company Law 31/1990, art. 74), and Terms & Conditions are required by e-commerce and consumer-protection law (GEO 34/2014). Their absence is not just a red flag — it is a breach of the law, punishable by fines.
Where we fit — honestly
To close the circle honestly: we are not Apple-authorized. If you are under warranty or have AppleCare+, we send you to Apple — it is the right thing for you and your device. Out of warranty, here is what we bring to the table:
