Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Per Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)
1. Data controller
The personal data controller is DAWN IT S.R.L., with its registered office at 40 Aristotel Pappia Street, Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania. For questions about data protection, you can contact us at: [email protected] or by phone 0739 795 800.
2. What personal data we collect
We collect only the data strictly necessary to provide repair services:
Identification data: first name, last name, phone number, email address — needed for communication during the repair and issuing the fiscal invoice.
Device data: model, serial number, IMEI (for iPhone), defect description — needed to identify the device and perform the repair.
Billing data: name/company name, address, VAT ID (for legal entities) — needed to issue the fiscal invoice in accordance with applicable law.
Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited on the site — collected automatically through Google Analytics for site improvement.
3. Purpose and legal basis for processing
We process personal data for the following purposes:
Performance of the service contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — for receiving the device, diagnosis, communicating the quote, performing the repair and returning the device.
Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — issuing fiscal invoices and keeping accounting records per the Fiscal Code and Accounting Law.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — improving services, resolving complaints and preventing fraud.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for marketing communications (newsletter, offers) — only with the customer's explicit consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
4. Data on your device
We do not access the personal content of your devices (photos, documents, messages, emails etc.) unless strictly necessary for diagnosis and with explicit customer consent.
For data recovery services, our purpose is exclusively restoring access to the data — we do not view or copy the content. On request, we can sign an additional non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
We recommend customers make a backup and, if desired, activate a passcode before handing over the device. Passwords needed for diagnostic (e.g. macOS login password) are stored securely and deleted after the repair is complete.
5. How long we keep the data
Service data (intake form, quote): 3 years from repair completion, per the civil statute of limitations.
Billing data: 10 years, per legal obligations from the Fiscal Code and the Accounting Law no. 82/1991.
Browsing data (analytics): 26 months, per the standard Google Analytics configuration.
Device passwords: deleted immediately after the repair is finished and the device handed over.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Data may be transmitted to:
Courier services (name, address, phone) — only for delivery of the repaired device; Accounting services — for invoice issuance and processing; Google Analytics — pseudonymised browsing data for site traffic analysis, only with your consent. This service may involve transferring data to Google outside the European Economic Area, based on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission; Public authorities — only on express legal request (ANAF, courts).
7. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures for data protection: restricted access to the customer database (authorised personnel only), secure connection (HTTPS) on the site, periodic backup systems, and internal confidentiality policies for employees.
8. Your GDPR rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Right to rectification — you can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — you can request data deletion, except for data we are legally required to keep. Right to restriction of processing — you can request limitation of data processing under certain circumstances.
