What's missing vs the higher models
Dynamic Island
Has a small notch instead — thicker and takes up more screen space than Dynamic Island.

Verdict: is iPhone 17e worth it?
It's the best entry-level iPhone of 2025. A16 isn't the newest anymore, but with ProMotion 120Hz and OLED, it feels fluid in any daily-use scenario. Cameras are excellent for any non-professional. IP69 means better water resistance than older Pro models.
Vs iPhone 15: for ~400 RON less you get OLED, 120Hz and a better camera — 17e clearly wins. Vs iPhone 16: you pay 1,100 RON less, sacrifice Dynamic Island and A18. If budget matters, 17e is the right decision.
